A message from the author

My journey into pediatric craniofacial surgery has been more than a career choice; it’s a personal commitment to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and their families. From the very beginning of my training, I was captivated by the unique challenges of craniofacial anomalies. These conditions, particularly craniosynostosis, demand technical precision and a deep sense of empathy to support both the child’s development and the family’s journey.

Each child I meet presents a unique case and, with it, a family filled with hope, questions, and the need for trust and reassurance. My role is not just about performing surgery but about building connections, sharing knowledge, and providing guidance when families are most vulnerable. This path is one of constant learning and growth, and it’s an honor to help each new child and family find hope and confidence along the way.

I wrote Craniosynostosis – A Parent’s Complete Guide to give families a resource I believe is essential but often hard to find—a straightforward, compassionate guide through a complex diagnosis. Over the years, I’ve seen the questions and uncertainties that come with craniosynostosis and witnessed how vital it is for parents to feel informed and empowered. This book aims to demystify the condition, provide clear insights into treatment options, and offer families the confidence to make informed decisions every step of the way. My hope is that this guide becomes a trusted companion for parents navigating this journey.
